Self funded options
There are many ways that therapy at The Bobath Centre can be funded.
NHS funding
It’s possible that your local NHS could pay for your therapy, so start by asking your GP for more information about NHS supported physiotherapy schemes.
Private health/medical insurance (PMI)
If you have PMI through your employers, please check to see if your policy covers treatment for your child, or yourself under the terms and conditions. If it does, you can pay for treatment and then reclaim the cost. We’re happy to provide invoices and receipts.
Legal Settlement
If you think that something went wrong during labour or your baby’s birth you are entitled to raise concerns and find out what happened and why. If it’s established that there was a mistake or medical or clinical negligence by your midwife or other health professional, your child may be eligible for compensation to pay for their long-term care.
If you are making (or thinking of making) a claim, we recommend that you speak to a specialist solicitor. Your child may also be awarded an interim payment to cover the cost of treatment while their case is being considered. It is something to consider carefully as pursuing a claim may be important for covering the ongoing cost of care throughout their life, including therapies such as Bobath Therapy.
