All babies develop at different rates, and typical child development has many variations. When a baby isn’t meeting their expected milestones, you can seek information from your Health Visitor or your GP or you may be referred to a Paediatrician for further assessment. If you’re unsure what you can do to help your baby’s development, we can offer support and guidance.
If your baby has had a stormy start in life, they may be at risk of having difficulties in their development. So, if you are waiting for a diagnosis or have been recently diagnosed, we are here to advise and support you in meeting your little one’s needs.
Cerebral palsy is one of many diagnoses that can affect child development. Global delay, developmental delay, Down’s syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome and other genetic conditions, can present many challenges.
BoBaby is inclusive for all babies with developmental delay as not all difficulties will relate to motor development. So, our support to your baby reaches beyond that need, with guidance on communication, feeding, sleeping and stimulating play.
Lots of babies, lots of fun and lots of music! Each session involves information sharing and discussion. For our babies, there is singing, signing, and lots of ideas to support activity and therapy through play.
Yes. We aim to bring families together and welcome discussion, sharing of experiences and support.
Yes. Development in the first 12 months is unlike any other period in our lives. We learn about touch, smell, taste, body awareness, sensory regulation and sleep cycles. And we start to interact with and explore our environment. This group aims to give information on how you can support your baby in all areas from 0 to 2.5 years.
Yes, BoBaby is hosted by a Bobath Physiotherapist, supported by either a Bobath Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist, who can answer any questions you have about your baby’s development.
Yes. We welcome any questions during the session. And, if you do not wish to ask us within the group, we offer breakout rooms where you can chat to a therapist in private, when you attend an in person session, or we can offer a private video call to discuss any queries.
BoBaby takes place every Wednesday at 10:00-10:45am via video link, and on the first Wednesday of every month we host a face-to-face session at The Bobath Centre in Watford.
We’ll miss you, but it’s not a problem. Just pop another time.
Nothing! These sessions are completely free.
Once you have registered for BoBaby, you can join in as often as you wish.

Don’t just take our word for it, this is what others have to say about their experience at our centre:
"Bobath has helped me do all the things that I want to do."
